BODYWORK AND MODS. Also a list of stretch tanks we offer.

2000-2005 stretch tanks for Softails
»Stock gas gauge/fuel cap setup
Carb
-- $750 (this is 'ready to paint' price). Includes tank, shipping to us, bodywork, seal and pressure check, materials
EFI -- $750 (this is 'ready to paint' price). Includes tank, shipping to us, bodywork, seal and pressure check, materials

Notes on the above tanks: The new H-D flush mount cap and fuel gauge will not work perfectly on the stretch tank. Fuel gauge fits perfect, the fuel cap will sit about 1/8" above the trim ring. I had a customer that cutout the bottom of the 'splash' shield on the bottom of the bung on the right side, and he said this corrected the height problem.

Also, if you run the Chrome Headlight Nacelle setup, you may have clearance problems. You can eliviate this by welding a stop on your frame to keep the forks from coming too close to the tank.
These tanks are made to fit on your bike as long as you have a stock seat. It is always recommended that you "fit the seat to the tank". . Other seats may require modifications in which an upholsterer can take care of the necessary trimming. Or, you may have to have the seat/pan made bigger to fit better.
The tanks are 'slightly' rounder up front, so be sure and check clearance with bars, and make any adjustments before riding.

We also stock most *new* H-D fenders! Mention on the estimate form
»Dresser Stretch tanks

  • 1 1/2" wider than the stock
  • 3" stretch

Carb--$999 (price is with us doing the paint)
EFI--$969 (price is with us doing the paint)
