Motorcycle Tire Tips

Motorcycle tires are oftentimes misunderstood. This is a saddening fact. They must be well-taken care of because they affect comfort, safety, handling as well as the entire ride.

We riders must be aware of the two types of tire construction - the bias-ply and the radial. Cruisers, usually use bias-ply tires. On the other hand, sport bikes use radials. Bias-ply has a round profile and high sidewalls while a radial tire has a flatter profile and shorter sidewalls.

Auto-Notify Newsletter - Signature Set #183 (Signature Set#153)

Hello ACP Member,

A new pre-painted "Signature Set" for a Harley-Davidson Sportster has been added.

Old School flames painted in a fade from yellow to orange to red over a black base. We also did the 'very' tips in a blue metallic.
Overlapping flame licks with airbrushed drop shadows really add to the depth of this paint job.
Out in the sun, you'll noticed that we also sprayed a couple coats of yellow pearl over the flames to give them a nice shimmering effect!
You'll also notice on the close-up pics of how consistent the width of the outlines are.

Hello ACP Member,

A new prep-painted "Signature Set" for a Harley-Davidson Heritage has been added.

Signature Set #182 consists of a paint job done in a black base with silver pearl ghost flames.
We also sprayed a ghost bar and shield logo on each side of the tank.

This paint job includes both fenders and the tank...NO exchange!
All parts used are genuine Harley-Davidson.

(SS#182)  - Black base with silver pearl ghost flameGhost flames are flame jobs that don't stand out on the lower basecoat as much. This is achieved by a number of ways. The most common I use are using the basecoat color and either darken or lighten the color, or I use a pearl color over the basecoat. s - Bar and Shield logo! Sharp - $1495
Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fatboy -
(SS#181)  - CandyCandy Apple paint is a tinted clearcoat that is either painted in a urethane or a basecoat type clear. This contains a very strong dye that once that is applied over another color to give it extreme depth. Most candy apple jobs are applied over either a silver or gold basecoat. Spraying over different basecoats will give the same color candy apple different effects. If you spray candy apple over white, you will get a very bight 'solid' colored candy effect. Spraying over a black metallic will make the candy extremely dark, but you will still see the pearl flakes the same color as the candy apple.
